Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah kidnap Vijay Varma in mystery-filled dramedy, watch video

Alia Bhatt and Shefali Shah starrer Darlings‘ trailer is here and it is more mysterious than one expected. Along with them, the film stars Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew in pivotal roles. The trailer was unveiled on Monday.

Badru, a strong-minded woman, and her mother decide to take matters into her own hands when it comes to Badru’s husband Hamza. What follows next is a hilarious comedy jo thodi dark hain! From the trailer, it seems like Badru is in an abusive sort of relationship and takes charge in her own hands to seek revenge along with her mother played by Shefali Shah.

Talking about Darlings, debutant director Jasmeet K Reen said, “It’s been an exceptionally fulfilling creative journey from inception to seeing it come alive, along with the team at Red Chillies and Eternal Sunshine. Darlings is a dark comedy that explores the lives of a mother-daughter duo trying to find their place in Mumbai, seeking courage and love in exceptional circumstances while fighting against all odds. Produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Gaurav Verma, the film is the debut full-length feature for director Jasmeet K Reen. Darlings also bring together the absolute greats of music- music composer Vishal Bhardwaj and lyricist Gulzar.

Darlings arrives on Netflix on August 5.
