Acharya starring Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi is all set for theatrical release When Acharya was first announced, Kajal Aggarwal was cast in the lead role opposite Chiranjeevi. She even appeared in the lyrical video for the hit song ‘Laahe Laahe’. However, Kajal was not seen in the trailer. Director Koratala Siva recently stated that her character was deleted since it did not live up to her stature.
In an interview with ABN Entertainment, Koratala Siva revealed, “Each film would have a heroine, love interest, and love interest in terms of commercial components. A love story, on the other hand, is useless for a guy like Acharya, and it will remain such. Kajal’s role in Dharmasthali was originally intended to be funny. However, after three to four days of filming, a question about the (purpose of) her role arose. I was dubious. She is a fearsome heroine whose presence must be justified. There will be no love track, no songs, and her role will be unfinished. Maintaining that role with Kajal in the film would be inappropriate given all of these constraints. It wasn’t enough to justify her height. I told her the same thing, and she replied positively to my concern.”
Anushka Shetty will now appear in a song in the film, according to sources. Kajal Aggarwal’s departure from the film has fanned speculation about who will play a supporting role in a song involving Chiranjeevi’s love interest. For the time being, the creators have kept all information about this under wraps. Furthermore, the makers reportedly wanted to keep Anushka’s cameo presence in the film a surprise for the theatre audience.
Acharya’s promotions are on in full swing, and a large-scale pre-release event was just held. The film is set to be released on April 29.
