Man wins $1.3M after using same lottery numbers for four years

A Michigan Lottery player who stuck with the same set of Lotto 47 numbers for four years found his persistence paid off with a $1.3 million jackpot.
The 54-year-old Wayne County man told Michigan Lottery officials he bought a ticket for the Jan. 8 Lotto 47 drawing from Mac’s II Inc. on Northline Road in Taylor bearing the numbers 04-08-17-28-36-43.
I have played this set of numbers for four years,” the player said.
His numbers finally paid off with a $1.3 million jackpot.
“I scanned my ticket on the lottery app and saw the confetti fly and thought: ‘This is a dream come true!’ Winning is a great feeling and gives me and my family financial freedom,” the winner said.
The winner said his prize money will allow him to pay off some bills and take an extended family vacation.
