Best Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Recipe

This is a great stress-free recipe you can prepare hours ahead of time. The chicken takes minutes to grill, and you can serve it next to any side dish you feel like. Each bite is guaranteed to be devoured at your family barbecue or for your next party. It’s a real crowd-pleasing recipe you can serve anytime!
INGREDIENTS

2-5 lb Chicken thighs, should be boneless & skinless

3/4 cups Soy sauce low-sodium

3/4 cups Ketchup

1 cup Brown sugar packed

1/3 cup Chicken broth

2 1/2 teaspoons Fresh Ginger grated

2 teaspoons Garlic minced
INSTRUCTIONS

In the mixing bowl combine soy sauce, ketchup, sugar, chicken broth, ginger and garlic. Reserve 1 cup of marinade for later, by placing it in an airtight container and refrigerating.

Add chicken thighs to the bowl with the marinade and mix. Cover with plastic food wrap and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.

Grill chicken for about 3-4 minutes per side or until it is cooked thru. Brushing over preserved marinate with a food brush while grilling. Serve with hot rice and sliced avocados. Enjoy!
Tips and substitutions

Let the chicken marinate for at least 6 hours. For the best results, keep the chicken and marinade covered and in the fridge overnight.

Increase the flavour in the marinade by making your own homemade chicken broth.

The perfect internal temperature of cooked chicken thighs is 165ºF. Use an instant-read thermometer to check the chicken as it grills to ensure it’s cooked properly.
