Animal trailer launch: Ranbir Kapoor speaks about subconscious connection to his father Rishi Kapoor

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, along with Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Bhushan Kumar, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and other cast members, graced the red carpet in Delhi to unveil the trailer of their upcoming crime drama film Animal. The grand trailer launch event was attended by over 100 enthusiastic fans, who eagerly awaited a glimpse of the highly anticipated movie.
Following the trailer launch, the actors engaged with the media, sharing their experiences and anecdotes from the filming process. Ranbir Kapoor, in particular, opened up about an emotional connection he felt while working on Animal.
“I would often approach Sandeep (the director) and ask him for references,” Ranbir shared. He added, “I think eventually, subconsciously kahin na kahin mujhe mere papa ki yaad aayi. I think jis tareeke se voh baat karte the, he was a very passionate and aggressive man (Subconsciously, I thought of my father. The way he used to speak, he was a very passionate and aggressive man).”
For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor, the legendary actor and Ranbir’s father, passed away in 2020.
Coming back to the film, Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, promises to be a thrilling ride for audiences. The film, produced by T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios, and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures, is slated for release on December 1, 2023 clashing with Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur starring Vicky Kaushal.
