Cannes 2022: Deepika Padukone enchants in Sabyasachi sequin saree inspired by majestic Bengal Tiger on the red carpet as jury member

The 75th Cannes Film Festival began on Tuesday with the usual glitz and glamour, with celebrities making appearances on the red carpet. India is the ‘Country of Honour,’ and the Indian bigwigs made an impression at the gala, from extravagant red-carpet arrivals to movie and trailer launches. As a jury member, Deepika Padukone was up to some sophisticated business. On Tuesday, she walked the red carpet at the Cannes 2022 opening ceremony with grace and elegance. As she walked with the rest of the jury members, the actress wore a gorgeous retro sequin saree in black and gold.
Deepika Padukone’s long-awaited red-carpet moment has finally arrived. She shared another amazing look from Cannes 2022 on her social media account. She looked incredible in a stunning saree by Sabyasachi and emanated huge retro vibes. Deepika’s glistening saree is inspired by the majestic Bengal Tiger and includes black and golden stripes. At the Sabyasachi atelier, the stripes were block-printed and hand-embroidered by the best Indian artisans. She wore a black sleeveless sequined blouse that completely transformed her appearance. She completed her ensemble with an ornate headpiece, massive rings, and an intricate pair of earrings. Her headband is inspired by a traditional Indian matha patti headpiece and features Art Nouveau details. Art nouveau is an international style of architecture. Her jewellery is also designed by Sabyasachi.
Deepika’s hair was styled in a perfect bun with a headband, and she wore bold make-up that was the focal point of her ensemble. She opted for bold winged eyeliner. Her appearance was flawlessly finished by a black manicure, nude lips, accentuated cheekbones, and filled in brows. Deepika looked gorgeous in a black peep-toe heels from the Sabyasachi X Louboutin collection.
The stunning actress also made her first red carpet appearance at Cannes 2022 with other jury members. She was joined by French actor and President of the Jury of the 75th Cannes Film Festival Vincent Lindon and other jury members including French director Ladj Ly, Iranian film director Asghar Farhadi, British actress Rebecca Hall, Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, Norwegian film director Joachim Trier, Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, and US film director Jeff Nichols.
In terms of her acting career, Deepika was most recently seen in Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan. She will next appear in Pathaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. Aside from that, she has Amitabh Bachchan’s The Intern, Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, and Prabhas’ Project K.
