Sara Ali Khan bonds with THIS director over food, sends pictures from Indore

With Atrangi Re’s ‘Rinku’ Sara Ali Khan delivered her career’s finest performance. The actress has often credited the film’s director Aanand L Rai for drawing out the highly praised performance from her and ever since continues to share a close bond with the filmmaker.
A source reveals, “Sara Ali Khan and Aanand L Rai share a great camaraderie even after the release of Atrangi Re. Since the release of the film, Sara has been shooting in Indore, and whenever she gets time she calls up Aanand Ji. The two catch up on life, cinema, books, food, and even discuss projects they are working on. Atrangi Re was a very special film to them.”
The source further adds, “While shooting for Atrangi Re, Sara and Aanand Ji used relish local delicacies of Madurai and Delhi together. They would take early morning sunrise drives to the location, and enjoy Sufi in the evenings. Now too, Sara sends snaps of the delicious food in Indore to Aanand Ji, and they often reminisce about the memories that were made on set.”
Sara and Aanand L Rai share a great camaraderie off-screen and have praised each other in the past. The actress has always said believing in Aanand L Rai’s conviction of Rinku and going with it.
On the other hand, Sara is currently shooting in Indore for Lakshaman Utekar’s next alongside Vicky Kaushal.
