Set against the backdrop of Goa, Shah Rukh Khan made hearts swoon with his pure-at-heart character of Sunil, who is fun-loving but unfortunately, his habit of lying often lands him in trouble. Recalling memories from the popular 1994 romantic-comedy Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, co-starring Suchitra Krishnamurthy and Deepak Tijori, SRK recently took to social media to talk about a lesson that was taught to him by his character in the Kundan Shah directorial.
Taking to Instagram, Shah Rukh Khan posted a photo of his character ‘Sunil’ from the film Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa. The monochrome photo, which aptly describes his role of a musician playing trumpet in a band, was shared along with an emotional note where the superstar turned nostalgic and reminisced about what he learnt from the film. “At that stage…in that age…..raw….uncontrolled…craft still undefined….surrounded by the best cast & crew in India and a director who I miss every day! Taught me that sometimes u lose the moment….but win everything else…I am sure somewhere, some world Sunil did too !,” he captioned his post.
For the unversed, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa is a rom-com where Sunil is in love with his childhood crush and neighbor Anna. But little does he know that his other friend Chris has set his eyes on her. In a bid to compete with another man for winning his ladylove, Sunil spins a web of lies that may endanger his relationship with her and everyone else forever.
As for Shah Rukh Khan, the superstar has returned to the world of big screen releases four years after 2018 with Pathaan. The film has made a record-breaking success at the box office with the superstar now shifting his attention to other upcoming projects which includes his first association with South filmmaker Atlee for Jawan (June 3, 2023) as well as with Rajkumar Hirani for Dunki (December 22, 2023).
