A little over a week ago we saw the release of the Vipul Shah production The Kerala Story. Starring Adah Sharma the film received mixed responses to its trailer, however based somewhat on true events the business of the film at the box office witnessed a good rate of growth. In fact, after opening on a steady note, the collections of The Kerala Story continued to see growth even on weekdays. Now, currently running on its second weekend in theatres, the film has managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark
Collecting Rs. 19.50 cr on its second Saturday running, The Kerala Story has managed to draw in a staggering Rs. 112.99 cr. With this, the film has now emerged as the fourth release of 2023 to make it past the highly coveted Rs. 100 cr mark. Interestingly, the film now joins previous releases like Pathaan, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar that have crossed Rs. 100 cr at the box office. If that was not enough, while the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan crossed the Rs. 100 cr mark in two days of its release, The Kerala Story which has managed to draw in over Rs. 100 cr in 9 days has surpassed the Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and the Ranbir Kapoor – Shraddha Kapoor starrer Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which took 10 and 11 days to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark respectively.
