These record-breaking beards are so strong they can pull cars, trains and have people dangled from them.
The incredible feats of strength prove that facial hair is much more than just a fashion statement for these men.
Kapil Gehlot (India) set the record for heaviest vehicle pulled by beard when he shifted a car weighing 2,205 kg (4,861.193 lbs) with nothing but beard-power.
His incredible achievement was watched by an amazed crowd in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, back in 2012 and no one has outdone him since.
A metal plate with bolts was fixed into Kapil’s face fuzz and then attached to ropes.
Leaning backwards and pulling with all his might, he shifted the car 226 ft 3 in (68 m) down the road. He was 24 years old at the time.
Way before that, all the way back in 2001, Ismael Rivas Falcon (Spain) set the record for heaviest train pulled with beard on the set of TV show El Show de los Récords in Madrid.
Believe it or not, Ismael dragged a train weighing 2,753.1 kg (6,069 lb) a distance of 10 m (32.8 ft) with nothing but the hairs on his chinny chin chin.
And just to make it that bit more challenging – because it wasn’t hard enough already, right? – the train was filled with passengers.
But beards can’t just pull heavy weight, they can lift it too.
Antanas Kontrimas (Lithuania) achieved the heaviest weight lifted by a beard on the set of Rekorlar Dunyasi in Istanbul, Türkiye in 2013.
He lifted a whopping 63.80 kg (140 lb 10 oz) in the shape of the show’s presenter Gupse Özay.
Antanas even posed for pictures to recreate the moment for us, dangling an adult woman from straps attached to his beard while holding his arms aloft as if he was exclaiming: “Look Ma, no hands!”
Now, these are people you could trust to get you out of a hairy situation.
