Aishwarya believes in the power of hydration for her glowing skin, so she uses the commonly available kitchen ingredient, cucumber, as a must-have component in her natural skincare regime. Cucumber provides much-needed hydration to the skin and the added bonus of a refreshed and cooling sensation. In addition, it makes the skin supple and nourished and removes skin imperfections like wrinkles, fine lines and inflammation.
#1. Cucumber-yoghurt face pack
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of yoghurt, half of grated cucumber, 1 teaspoon of honey
How To Make: Mix together the three ingredients into a thick paste. Make sure it is not too runny. Apply it all over your face and neck for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.
Having oily skin is not desirable for all of us. It makes us look dull, and the skin feels quite greasy. But, do not dishearten yourselves, as your favourite actress has brought up a DIY solution for it as well. To tackle oily skin problems, Aishwarya uses a homemade face pack made of tomato and cucumber. Tomato has acidic properties, which help to control excess oil production on the skin. It also helps minimises pores, thereby reducing sebum production. The cucumber, on the other hand, helps the skin by acting as a gentle moisturiser.
Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of tomato pulp, 2 tablespoons of cucumber pulp, 1 teaspoon of besan
How To Make: Apply this paste onto the face and neck for 15 minutes. Use a damp cloth to rub it off gently, and get completely oil-free skin.
For those looking for supple and bright skin, you can try out this natural face pack made from the goodness of potato and cucumber. The gorgeous actress, too, incorporates this into her homely skincare regimen since it ensures a glowing and even skin tone in no time. Potato has natural properties that help to reduce tan and bring out the natural glowing tone of the skin. And cucumber, as always, helps to moisturise and revitalise the skin manifold.
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of naturally extracted potato juice, 1 tablespoon of cucumber pulp, 2 tablespoons of fuller’s earth (multani mitti)
How To Make: Mix the three ingredients into a smooth paste. Leave it to air dry. Gently wash it off with lukewarm water.
