Microwave Kaju Katli Recipe In 2 Minutes

An easy-to-make Kaju Katli recipe that: does not require sugar syrup, is prepared in the microwave & requires just 2 minutes

INGREDIENTS (1 CUP = 240 ML)

  • 5teaspoon ghee + little ghee for kneading cashew dough
  • 1tablespoon milk
  • ¼cup milk powder
  • ¼cup powdered sugar
  • ½cup heaped cashews

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a small mixer jar, take cashews and grind to a fine powder. Grind for a few times until crushed completely. Do not grind for long.
  2. If you feel the powder is a bit grainy you can sieve the cashew powder to get a smooth texture. We have used the powder as it is.
  3. In a deep microwave-safe bowl, combine ghee, milk and milk powder. Mix well and microwave on HIGH power (900 Watts) for 1 minute, stir in-between after 30 seconds. Take out the bowl and stir well.
  4. Now add cashew powder and powdered sugar and mix. Microwave on MEDIUM power (600 Watts) for 1 minute.
  5. Take out the mixture, stir and let it cool down a bit. Once it cools down a bit, add little ghee and knead to get a smooth dough-like texture. If you feel the mixture is too dry, you may sprinkle little milk.
  6. Take this cashew dough between butter paper/parchment paper sheets and flatten with hands. Now gently roll the dough with a rolling pin, adjusting the thickness according to your choice.
  7. Cut into a diamond shape and Enjoy.
