Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani gear up for graha pravesh; dance outside their Delhi residence to dhol beats

For the past few days, news reports have been abuzz with the coverage of the much-talked about wedding of actors Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. The couple tied the knot in a private but lavish ceremony in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan amongst family, relatives, and close friends. Post the rituals, the couple took off to Delhi to perform the graha-pravesh tradition at the Malhotra residence in the capital. A video of the newlyweds dancing to dhol beats outside their Delhi house has found its way online.
Photographer Pallav Paliwal captured the moment from afar featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani dancing wholeheartedly to dhol beats. It seems that the Malhotra family wanted to give a grand welcome to their ‘bahu’ and had invited dhol musicians to add the quintessential Punjabi twist to the ceremony.
Kiara Advani had confessed on Koffee With Karan couch that she had met Sidharth Malhotra for the first time, officially, during the Lust Stories success bash. The two actors have been together for quite some time now and they even played an engaged couple in the military biopic on Vikram Batra, Shershaah (2021).
As for their wedding, the couple took off to Suryagarh palace-hotel in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, earlier this weekend to kick off the festivities before the D-day. Celebrities too were spotted taking off to attend these functions. If reports are to be believed, the couple hosted the usual Mehendi and Haldi functions in the said venue itself before the marriage on February 7.
Post the wedding; the couple shared a few glimpses of their serene wedding ceremony on social media. They also received congratulatory messages and close friends took to the platform to share beautiful notes about marriage and love. Among them was also Karan Johar, who played a key role in their relationship. He attended the functions and also took to social media to share a lovely note that he dedicated to these lovebirds.
