Bloating makes you feel uncomfortable and stuffed. It is often a result of overeating or eating foods that cause gas. Have a look at 5 ways to get rid of bloating.

Drink only water

Avoid soda or carbonated drinks that cause gas and bloating. So skip the alcohol and the fizzy drinks and only drink water as your main beverage.

Skip salty foods

The high sodium content in salty foods results in dehydration that leads to bloating. So avoid salty foods like bread, frozen food, processed foods, cured meat, condiments, etc.

Eat slowly

One of the most common causes of bloating is eating too much food too quickly which can cause gas build-up. So eat smaller portions of food and chew your food properly to reduce the amount of air you swallow.

Take probiotics

Have foods rich in probiotic bacteria like yoghurt, that help in combating bloating and gas. It helps in increasing the number of good bacteria in the gut and in improving the digestive processes.

Eat right

Certain foods can help in fighting bloating. These include sweet potatoes, pumpkin, avocados, bananas, leafy greens, oranges, tomatoes, celery, asparagus, ginger, fennel, cucumber, etc.
