In this post, you will see an easy and step-by-step recipe to make the tastiest and Perfect Checkerboard Barfi at your Home without any mistake or difficulty.
Ingredients
  • Light biscuits – 32 pieces
  • Dark biscuits – 22 pieces
  • Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  • Desiccated coconut – 8 tbsp
  • Mix chopped dry fruits – 4 tbsp
  • Milk – 1 cup (boiled)
  • Powder Sugar – 2 tbsp
Instructions
  • To make the amazing Instant Checker Board Barfi, take 32 Pieces of light-coloured Biscuits and 22 Pieces of Dark coloured Biscuits.
  • Take a grinding jar, add light-coloured biscuits (crush them before adding into the grinding jar) and make a fine powder and transfer the content into a bowl.
  • Add dark biscuits into a grinding jar, make a fine powder, and transfer it into a bowl.
  • Into dark biscuits powder, add 1/2 tsp o cardamom powder, 4 tbsp of desiccated coconut, 2 tbsp of chopped mixed dry fruits and mix everything well.
  • Add 1/2 cup milk little by little and prepare a soft dough.
  • Divide the dough into two pieces and prepare 2 logs with them.Checkerboard Barfi Recipe 7
  • Wrap both logs with foil paper and close both ends.
  • Keep both logs in the fridge and let them set for 10 minutes.
  • Into dark biscuit powder, add 1/2 tsp of cardamom powder, 2 tbsp of powder sugar, 4 tbsp of desiccated coconut, and 2 tbsp of mixed dry fruits. Add little by little add milk and prepare a soft dough. Divide the dough into two pieces and prepare 2 logs just like the first one and wrap them both and keep them in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  • After 10-15 minutes, take out all logs from the fridge and remove the foil paper from all logs.
  • Place all four logs like the following image.

  • Tightly wrap all four logs with foil paper and keep them in the fridge for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours, remove the log from the fridge and remove the foil paper.
  • Garnish the log with silver leaf and cut it into small pieces.
  • Now, your perfect checkerboard Barfi is entirely ready, and you can enjoy it.
